Project Life: Week 31

Hello! I hope you're enjoying your week :) I've spent the last few days working in my Project Life album. It's crazy how trying to complete the simplest of tasks takes longer when you have a demanding 4-year-old all up in your business. The Joys of Parenthood. Haha! Anyway, I'm happy to finally share my completed pages with you...

WEEK 31

July 28 - August 3

Week 31: Full Spread

We had another fabulous summer week here in the Pacific NW. I made some onolicious Hawaiian food, customized my Filofax, jammed out to some feel good island music, captured fun shots of my daughter, and took a ferry ride to visit a friend. I went with another summer theme using handmade cards to hold my instagram photos, along with some free printable journal and filler cards. I kept it pretty simple with embellishments, and let my journaling and the photos themselves tell the story.

Week 31: Left Page

Here I'm using a generic photo page I picked up from Hobby Lobby, which is the reverse side from Week 30. I filled the six 6"x 4" pockets with a fun mix of cards. The title card is from Becky Higgins "Mayfield" Mini Kit, which I embellished with some Pebbles, Inc. alphabet stickers, and an arrow using Amy Tangerine's Embroidery Kit.

Week 31: Left Page | Close Up

The 3 cards holding my 4"x 4" instagram photos, were created using 12" papers from Amy T's Ready Set Go line. For a couple of them, I journaled directly onto the cards. My "Filo" card includes a cutout tag from Dear Lizzy's 5th & Frolic collection. I thought it would be fun to document my summer playlist, so I used a fun printable from my stash. For the "bullets" in my list, I used some "dot" stickers I made with a hole puncher and paper tape. The quote card is by We R Memory Keepers. I finished off this page with a print and cut label, a Dymo label, a Tab stamp by WRMK, and some roller date/rotary phrase stamps.

Week 31: Right Page

For this side I'm using a Becky Higgins Design A photo page. Again, I filled the 6"x 4" pockets with more handmade cards using Amy T's Ready Set Go line, as well as a sheet from Crate Paper, and plain Kraft paper. To them I added more instagram photos in different sizes, some journaling, another tag from Dear Lizzy's 5th & Frolic, and a 2"x 4" card by WRMK.

Week 31: Right Page | Close Up

I love using fun applications on my Samsung Galaxy S3 in conjunction with instagram. The one you see here was created with InstaPlace on Android. [I have the Pro version.] It uses your phone's GPS to add your current location and cool skins to your photos. Perfect for my Project Life photos! To complete that card, I added a Kraft banner cut with my Silhouette Cameo and a flair printable of a cute little sun. I used a white gel pen to create the stitching detail.

Week 31: Right Page | Close Up

I dug through my stash for some fun printables to fill the row of 3"x 4" pockets. I found the perfect summer cards for them! [You can find links to these printables in this post.] I also made one of the cards using paper from my scraps. Some journaling and small alphabet stickers finish off those cards.

Week 31: Right Page | Another Close Up

For the last of my 6"x 4" cards, I added some extra embellishments like a wood veneer geotag to mark the location of a photograph, a camera cutout by Nikki Sivils, and some heart punches on my kawaii card. More alphabet stickers complete this page.

    1. Hi Bonne! Thank you so much for your sweet comment :) I feel so proud to inspire you. It makes my heart happy. I do use that "stitching" technique on a lot of my layouts. I enjoy playing around with different pens and ink too! It gives my Cameo cuts that extra little detail. I'm glad you like it <3
