Printables: September

Hello :) It's about that time again for my favorite monthly post... Printables! And I have a great batch to share with you today! In case you missed last month's post, you can find it here. Or feel free to check out all of my "Printables" posts! There are plenty of fabulous things to be found...

If you are familiar with my blog, you know I'm obsessed with printables. I use them in all of my books. From my SMASH* & Daybooks to Project Life and my Filofax! I take full advantage of all the wonderful freebies floating around on the internet! If you aren't familiar with printables, or it's something that you have been meaning to look into, I strongly urge you to read this post. You'll find helpful hints and tips for at-home printing as well as simple ways to save money doing it!

Each month I'm on the lookout for specific cards and printables to add to my collection. It was all about Filofax freebies last month, but today I'll be sharing some awesome finds that can be used in all of your books!

I was running low on ink, but at the same time I needed more filler and journal cards to restock both sizes in my stash. So this month I decided to scour the internet for some cool black & white cards and printables. Not only did I find some fabulous stuff, but I was also able to save colored ink by printing those files as "Black Ink Only." But since I am a colorful person, I had to add pops of color in there too! I did that with some fun elements and word art. Now onto the goodies...

BLACK & WHITE
Printables: September | Black & White
Set 1 [Far Left]: 3x4 Project Life Cards by Just Izzy
Set 2 [Center]: Chalkboard Life Cards by My Thoughts Exactly
Set 3 [Far Right]: Black & White by KLDezign

I specifically chose these cards to use in my Project Life album. There was such a great mix of journalers and fillers! I didn't print any, but the Just Izzy cards also has some 4x6 designs in this set available for free download. I really love the Chalkboard cards though, and decided to print out both sizes available. I also printed out some of the sets on Kraft cardstock for a totally different look. The black ink really pops! Have you tried a using a white gel pen on Kraft paper? It's one of my favorite techniques and looks amazing! If you are really dying for some color, you can easily add it using colorful ink and pens to journal with, or even through embellishments.

MISS TIINA
Printables: September | by Miss Tiina
Bottom Right: Any Day Journal Cards

Miss Tiina was the designer that started my free printables obsession over a year ago. I'm a huge fan of her designs and own and use all of her freebies! My favorite stuff is definitely her "collections." She has a few different ones, each consisting of various styles of cards in both 4x6 and 3x4 sizes. This particular black and white collection has 90 individual cards with simple designs and styles. There are cards with grid backgrounds, quotes, lists, writing prompts, word art, lined journalers, and fun fillers. Then she added even more cards like the Good Life and Any Day journal cards that complement the collection. I went ahead and printed one of those sets on Kraft cardstock too!

"Witty Word Art" Poster from M.M.M.

I added some color to this month's B&W batch with these awesome cards! I've always had a passion for signage, word art posters, quotes, and typography... even as a kid. It's something that I'm happy to carry into my crafting! I love using these types of cards in my books. You can find the smaller cards in my SMASH* books and Project Life album... even in my personal Filofax for inspiration. The larger 4x6 cards are perfect for PL, and I'm even using a couple to decorate the dividers in my new A5 Original Filofax. I hope you enjoy the ones I chose to feature this month...

FLAIR & STAMPS
Printables: September | Fun Embellishments
"Pen Pals Postage Stamps" by Sheri McCulley
"Heidi Swapp Flair" by Lorrie Nunemaker
"Flair Badges" by Lorri Nunemaker

I saved my favorite finds of the month for last. Don't you absolutely love these little embellishments?! Because I sure do! The artwork on the pen pal stamps is absolutely adorable. Each one has a different design for a specific country. I'm going to have so much fun with these when I write my next batch of letters :) I think the recipient will enjoy it too!

And you wouldn't believe how happy I was to find these fabulous flair! I may have been running low on colored-ink, but printing out these little babies didn't take much at all. After each sheet was done, I used my super handy 1" circle punch by EK Success to punch out each piece. I ended up with a ginormous stack of flair! I like to use them as-is to decorate my Filofax, SMASH* book, and Project Life cards, since it doesn't add too much bulk. But you could easily turn these into real flair buttons, or just add some 1" clear epoxy circle stickers for dimension. Have fun with 'em!

Printables: September | A Batch of Yummy Goodness

That's all I have for you :) I really hope you enjoyed this month's printables post and found a few new goodies along the way! Project Life: Week 38

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're having a great week so far :) Now that I'm all caught up in my Project Life album, and the colder weather hasn't allowed for much outdoor time, it's super simple to stay up-to-date with my weekly layouts and posts. And today I'm happy to share my most recent completed layout with you now...

WEEK 38
Life Documented
September 15 - September 21

Week 38: Single Page Layout

Since the left page, Week 37, was a single page layout, I had to do the same thing this week, for the right page. Here I'm using a generic photo page I picked up from Hobby Lobby. We didn't have much going on besides getting over a cold, some happy mail, SMASH*ing, and shopping. So it wasn't a problem fitting all of my photos onto a single page. Having lots of pockets helps! With some new patterned paper, I had tons of fun making all of the handmade cards. I even used some cuts from my Silhouette Cameo stash! All in all, this layout is simplicity at its finest...

The title card was placed on the far right pocket because it compliments the page from the previous week. I used a fun sheet from a new Ki Memories 6x6 pad, cut down to size. I love that design! I added a bright tag cut on my Cameo, which I doodled an awesome frame around for extra little detail, along with a print-and-cut banner to mark the days. I used some K&Company and ColorBok alphabet and numeric stickers for the title, and finished off the card with tiny, pink bling accents.

Week 38: Close Up

Another 4x6 card made with colorful Ki Memories paper holds a 4x4 photo collage that I created on my smartphone. I used photos from a RAK and Order I received from my girl Cathy V. of Paper Addict. The application is called Photo Grid for Android. I really love this app for Project Life! I'm able to combine multiple photos and customize my collage with cool templates, layouts, frames, patterns, designs, even borders! The developer is always adding new stuff, updates bugs, and there's also a free version [what I use]. This type of photo is exactly what I needed for this card! I added a bright mail tag and twine, and handwrote a title.

Since this week is being paired with last week's layout, I needed some type of card to act as my journaling card for details, and also to help keep this page separate from the other. It only made sense to do a "Week in Review" card. I used a 4x3 grid card cut with my Cameo, added a title with red ink and mini-alphabet stamps, and journaled all of the specifics. A MAMBI card holds a wallet-size instagram pic, a strip of scrap paper with a chevron print, and piece of leftover label sticker by Cosmo Cricket.

Week 38: Another Close Up

Here is another 4x6 card made with fun Ki Memories paper. The star design works great with my Smashbook: I Heart Washi instapic [in wallet-size]. I used a WeRMemoryKeepers 2x4 journal card, some glitter alphabet stickers, a Dear Lizzy roller date stamp, and my journaling to create a tag.

Both of the smaller 4x3 pockets hold MAMBI filler cards. The "one sweet moment" sentiment totally works with this layout. The yellow chevron card is the perfect background for another Photo Grid pic. This one is wallet-size. I was able to use all of my photos from an early anniversary shopping haul! Some Cosmo Cricket stickers complete the card.

Week 38: Another Close Up

This is the last of my handmade cards using gorgeous paper from Ki Memories different collections. The pink and white dotted design looks great with my daughter's shirt. [In case you were wondering... Pu'uwai = Heart in Hawaiian.] The only thing I added to this card is a small journal tag from my stash, to which I handwrote a cute cursive font.

Well that's all I have for you this week! I really hope you liked my Project Life post :) I'll be linking up with The Mom Creative, so be sure to stop by for some inspiration! If you would like to see how this year's album is coming along, you can find it here. Looking for more inspiration? Filofax: Week 38

Hello. I hope you had a lovely weekend! Mine was pretty fabulous :) I received some early anniversary gifts from the Hubby. After all these years, he still surprises me... more to come on that. Today I'll be sharing my most recent completed layout in my pink [personal] Domino, and a sneak peek at what I've been working on.

I have to say that I love using my Filofax to stay organized and on top of every aspect of my life. I am one to write everything down (as you can obviously see), but nothing is set in stone with me. Life isn't perfect, and plans change. My Filo easily adjusts to life. Nothing some correction tape or post-its and sticky flags can't fix.

Filofax: Week 38 | Full Spread

With the help of my color-coding system, I'm able to keep track of the various things I have going on in my life. Each color represents a different "subject." I really love playing around with different fonts and handwriting when adding specific details. I also like to hand-draw my checkboxes.

I don't embellish my pages too much beforehand, since I want to make sure that I have enough room for the written details. But I do have to add washi tape before diving into any week. For this layout I used some fun and cheerful yellow designs. The multi-colored chevron print I picked up for $.97/roll at Walmart, and the diagonal stripe came from an Up&Up set from Target [$3- on clearance]. I even used some Stickerdoodles [owl and lime] and Hello Kitty [sun & cloud] stickers to finish the spread. An Up&Up magnetic clip marks my calendars.

The WO2P inserts I'm using were created by my girl Cathy V. of Paper Addict. You can download it here. I love these pages because they give me more than enough room to cram in all of my notes, but most of all because they start on Sunday, and the weekend "sections" are bigger. Perfect!

Filofax: A Sneak Peek at My Current Pages

I told you earlier that the hubby surprised me with some early anniversary gifts... can't believe he actually bought off my wishlist! After 14 years together... he still totally gets me. Love him! I have a new addition :) Say hello to my florescent pink A5 Original....

Filofax: Playing with My New A5 & Fun Supplies

I'll be sharing more of my new A5 in future posts, so check back often! You can find all of my completed Filofax pages here. If you're looking for more planner inspiration, check out my "Filofax Addict" pinboard on Pinterest!

Smashbook: I Heart Washi

Hello! I hope you're having a great week :) Mine? It's been very productive! Helping my family recuperate from a cold bug this past week, has also given me lots of free time at home to work in my books. Yesterday I showed my up-to-date layouts in my Project Life album, and today I'm excited to share a new spread in my pretty pink SMASH* book!

I haven't been able to SMASH* much this year because of my obsession with Project Life and staying current in that album. Now that I'm all caught up, I was finally able to create a new spread in my book! It felt so good to SMASH* again. I didn't lose my mojo afterall! I just needed some extra me-time...

Creating a "Washi Tape" spread in my pretty pink book has been on my to-do list for over a year. I really can't believe I waited this long to do it. It was super simple to make... but has a huge impact! And it only required TWO supplies! You can play around with different tapes in your collection, and have some fun with cool thickers. Even the way you layout your pages has endless possiblities...

SMASH* Book: I Heart Washi
I started out by choosing pages in my book that had a simple and basic design and pattern. You don't want anything too detailed or with too much color. Paper washi tape is semi-transparent, so you don't want to detract from the designs on your tape. The pages I used have a simple and small pink and white design, hardly noticeable through the tape.

I guess it's kind of a good thing that I waited a while to start this project. Over the last year I was able build a wonderful collection of washi, paper, and deco tape. I loved digging through my storage bin for some new designs, my favorite rolls, and even samples gifted to me. There were so many rolls to choose from that I didn't have enough room to use all of them! No problem for me, I wouldn't mind doing another spread like this in my next book :)

When it came to using the different tapes to lay out the design, I just played around with it. The best thing about washi tape is that it isn't permanent! If you don't like the placement of a particular tape, just take it off and move it wherever. Mix up different colors, patterns, and widths of your tape! I also varied the length of my tape strips, and didn't use a scissors because I like the look of torn tape. You can even see that some of the tapes overlap. It very much reminds me of a quilt.

SMASH* Book: I Heart Washi & Thickers

I couldn't leave this spread as just tape. It needed a title. So I rummaged through my stash of Thickers and found one of my favorites. "Umbrella." I used these puffy stickers to spell "washi." I purchased them over a year ago at Big Lots, and have only used it once before now. The font is the largest of all my thickers [it's HUGE!], so it isn't desirable on my Project Life cards. But they are great for my double-page SMASH* Book spreads. And they're the perfect alphabet stickers for this layout! I also used another one of my larger alphas for the "I."  The black heart is a cutout.

A majority of these tapes came from two of my favorite online shops: Paper Addict and The Beary Scrap. The owners Cathy and Kimm are amazing! I've known both for over a year, and have been a loyal customer since Day 1. Check them out!

I've also snagged some fabulous designs online from Downtown Tape. Walmart has great tape for $.97/roll, visit Michael's for their Recollections brand [lots of variety], JoAnne's carries cute little Studio G packages for $.99, Target stocks Scotch and SMASH*, and even Big Lots and Tuesday Morning have sets of designer tapes. I was lucky enough to pick up a Cosmo Cricket "Hello" set from T.M. and a set of Elmer's designer tape at B.L., for only $3- each.

SMASH* Book: I Heart Washi | Close Up
I really love the way this spread came together... It looks fabulous! I'm so happy to be SMASHing again :) I hope you enjoyed today's post and leave here feeling inspired to create something beautiful in your book! If you would like to take a peek at my pretty pink SMASH* Book, you can find it here. If you're looking for more SMASH* inspiration, check out my "SMASH* & PL" pinboard on Pinterest. Project Life: Week 37

Hello again! Like I said in today's earlier post, I'm doing a Project Life double-feature this week! With our family at home recuperating from an awful cold bug the last few days, I've had plenty of time to play around in my books! As of now, I'm officially caught up in my 2013 Project Life album! With this being my first year ever of doing PL, I feel extremely proud of myself for getting to this point. Being able to stick with it and not give up now matter how far I fell behind, is a huge accomplishment for me!

The only tips I can offer to those struggling to stay on-top of their Project Life album is: stay organized, take everyday life photos [along with special occassion ops], and keep a journal specifically for PL. I use a Filofax to plan my Project Life projects and to stay organized with my blog posts. I also keep a separate journal for my sketches and layouts, and for detailed notes about our week. There is no way I could have made it this far without those things!

And now here is my completed layout from last week...

WEEK 37
Life Documented
September 8 - 14

Week 37: Single Page Layout

I had the pleasure of spending all of my time at home to take care of loved ones the last few days. That meant all of the fun plans we had for the weekend was postponed. I took advantage of the extra time to knock out this week of PL. And because we didn't do much... there weren't many photos. So it only made sense to make this a one-page layout.

Here I'm using the Becky Higgins Design A pocket page continued from Week 36. It gave me the perfect amount of space for the photos and cards I wanted to use. Since we are moving into the colder Fall Season, I went with a warm orange and brown theme inspired by nature.  I used the reverse side of the double-sided Ki Memories paper from last week for the title card. To finish it off, I added a Kraft banner [with a doodle-stitch detail] cut on my Cameo, some natural burlap alphabet stickers by Little Yellow Bicycle, navy Kraft paper number stickers by Pebbles, Inc., and some Hello Kitty and red paper washi tape.

Week 37: A Close-Up of My Mega Haul

To create this handmade card, I used paper from Amy Tangerine's Red Set Go line. I added a 4x4 instagram photo of my "Mega-Haul" and a printable tag for journaling. I finished it off with my Studio Calico roller date stamp.

Week 36: Close-Up of 3x4 Pockets

I filled the row of 3x4 pockets with fun printables and more handmade cards. The first card was made from paper in my scrap pile. To it I added a wallet-size decorated instagram photo, a Cosmo Cricket label cut in half, and a Dymo label to mark the date. The next pocket holds a calendar card printable from my collection. My Ali Edwards circle calendar stamp highlights the current week. I used a notepaper file on my Cameo to cut a card from Kraft paper. I needed some color, so I put my homemade alcohol ink and glimmer mist sprays to good use. Now it works as the perfect backdrop for an instapic of my daughter painting. I used some K&Company alphabet stickers and teeny star stickers to decorate the card. The last card is an awesome free printable from my stash and works great with this layout.

Week 37: Baby Girl got Style

To make this handmade card, I used some paper from Pebbles, Inc. cut down to size. I added another 4x4 instapic of my daughter wearing her creative hat. I used some fun red foam thickers, a Cosmo Cricket label, and a Hello Kitty dimensional sticker to complete it.

Week 37: A Simple Card to Finish Out the Week

For the last 6x4 card, I used another design from Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go collection. The different days is a nice touch to finish our week. Again I used a printable tag to document the details, and a Dymo label for the date.

That's all I have for you today. I hope you like how my Project Life album is coming along! You can take a look at my complete book here. I'll be linking up with The Mom Creative again, so be sure to stop by for more PL inspiration! Like the fun printables I used in this week's spread? You can find them on my "SMASH* & PL" or "Printables/Templates" pinboards on Pinterest. Along with freebies, you'll find hundreds of other links to DIYs, How-To's, ideas, tips, and inspiration for everything Project Life! Be sure to follow those boards because I find new stuff daily!

Project Life: Week 36

Happy Tuesday! Although I've had a family getting over a cold these last few days, I have managed to accomplish quite a lot! Plenty of get better time at home has allowed me to take care of my family, and also gave me some extra me-time to play around in all of my books. And as of today, I'm officially caught up in my 2013 Project Life album! I really love flipping through this book and seeing all of our memories from the first of the year until now. It's amazing!

Last week I shared a double-feature of Project Life, and I'll be doing that again with my next post. So check back later today to see Week 37 of my album. And I have to say that it feels so awesome to be current and up-to-date!

WEEK 36
Life Documented
September 1 - September 7

Week 36: Full Spread

This was officially the last week of Summer for us here in The Pacific NW. The weather hasn't really been nice since. It was fun while it lasted, and our family really enjoyed those last few days of sunshine. From bicycling and ferry rides, to selfies, shopping, and Strawberry Shortcake. We loved every last minute of the season!

Using all of the fabulous instagram pics for inspiration, I went with a fun and girly pink theme. Lots of pretty patterned paper and lovely journal and filler cards.  I even played with some extra embellishments this week, but still kept it pretty simple to let the photos speak for themselves.

Week 36: Left Page

Here I'm using the Hobby Lobby pocket page continued from Week 35. It's filled with handmade cards, an inspiring quote printable, and journal and filler cards by MAMBI and WRMK. For the title card, I used a colorful herringbone print from Crate Paper as the background. Since I had an extra selfie photo this week [feeling extra photogenic!], I decided to add it to this card. I also used a speech bubble printable by uprintables, a Cosmo Cricket doily sticker, and some fun thickers to finish it off.

Week 36: Left Page | Close Up

For this 4x6 card, I used the reverse side of the Crate Paper paper from my title card. The woodgrain reminds me of the outdoors and is perfect for holding photos of my daughter with her bike. I added a cutout banner, some My Mind's Eye enamel dots, and some Cosmo Cricket tiny alpha stickers.

The double-sided 4x3 MAMBI card from last week has a sweet wallet-size instagram of Kiani. I used a strip of "Pink Ruler" washi [from Paper Addict], and an American Crafts Slick Writer pen to add the date on the Cosmo Cricket tab. The "LOVE" filler card is also by MAMBI.

Week 36: Left Page | Another Close Up

I mixed it up a bit with the cards I chose for this section of the layout. The 4x6 quote by Maya Angelou is one of my printable Freebies from my Happy Cards set. It helps to add the pop of color I needed for this area, and the quote itself really works well with my theme this week, especially with my selfie photos ;-) The 4x6 "Weekly Plan" card is by We R Memory Keepers. I thought it would be great to do a "Week in Review" type card to document, in words, how our last week of Summer went. I managed to fill up all of the days but one, so I used a strip from one of my favorite rolls of washi to fill the empty space. It fit perfectly!

I used another MAMBI card for Kiani's Strawberry Shortcake instapic, and added a print-and-cut label for some journaling. The orange "happy" card is from a set of inspiration cards by Melodie Ross. It was smaller than the pocket, so I centered it on last week's card, and added some new chevron washi tape [$.97 from Walmart] on the top and bottom. Doesn't it look awesome!

Week 36: Right Page

I had so many more photos this week, so I chose a Becky Higgins Design A pocket page for the rest. Again I played around with different collections and designers. I used a fun mix of free printables, patterned paper, journal cards and fillers, and simple embellishments.

Week 36: Right Page | Close Up

I scoured my stash for a fun 4x6 card that complements my daughter's bicycle photos, and found this free printable. I love that it's a two-seater! There was a large blank area on top of the card that was really missing something. So I added a strip of "Colorful Birds on a Wire" [from The Beary Scrap], an old favorite washi design, to kick it up a bit. Now it couldn't look more perfect! For the handmade 4x6 card, I used a sheet of 6x6 paper from Ki Memories cut down to size. I added a 4x4 instagram photo and a printable journal tag for "The Details."

Week 36: Right Page | Close Up

Mixed it up a bit with the row of 3x4 pockets. I used another MAMBI card for the pic of my goodie haul from this week. I added some Heidi Swapp epoxy alphabet stickers and pink bling to finish off that card. Next is an IG screenshot taken on my Galaxy S3, showing the milestone of reaching 500 followers. How did that happen? I'm so happy you all like me! A free printable acts as the backdrop for another instagram photo; this one really captures the end of a gorgeous season here in the Pacific NW. I used a Cosmo Cricket label and tiny alphabet stickers to complete it. The "I Heart Summer" card is another free printable from my stash.

I used a fabulous sheet of girly pink paper from DCWV to hold my 4x4 instagram selfie. I had to add one of my favorite embellishments to this card... a handmade instagram camera! I picked those babies up over a year ago from my girl Cathy V. of Paper Addict. Her talents still amaze me! I also used a cutout arrow with some Studio Calico wood veneers. The last 6x4 card is a journal card by WRMK that I covered with another 4x4 instapic. I added a Dymo label and Basic Grey alphabet stickers to finish off this card.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life post! Stay tuned, because later tonight I will be posting last week's layout. I'll also be linking up with The Mom Creative, so be sure to stop by for more PL inspiration! Wanna take a peek at my 2013 album? You can find it here. Filofax: Week 37

Hello! I hope you enjoyed your weekend :) Mine was very productive despite having a house full of sick loved ones. Since my family caught a cold bug, our fun weekend out was postponed. I took advantage of these last few days at home working in my books. Got some fun stuff to share with you this week! But first, here is the most recent layout in my Filofax...

In case you missed last week's spread in my Filo, you can find it here. This book is my lifesaver. It gives me the power to stay on top of every aspect of my life. It keeps me sane! My planner is also an extension of myself. I decorate it to motivate and inspire me. Every little detail goes into it. And I adore every single thing about it.

Week 37: Full Spread

Having family members with cold germs really puts a damper on plans. Since I am obviously one to plan ahead, I don't have a problem changing things up or postponing and rescheduling things. Life isn't perfect, and when my Filo needs to be updated I just use some handy, transparent, neon flags. Jot down a little note and stick it wherever. It's a simple change plus adds a pop of fun color!

Penmanship is a passion of mine, so I play around with different fonts when I get the chance. I love the way the various handwriting looks on the pages of my Filofax. A Muji checklist stamp is on my wishlist, but until then I make do with my hand-drawn doodle checkboxes. It works for me, and it looks pretty cool too!

For this week's decorations, I used two new rolls of washi tape in my favorite color. I picked up these lovely pink designs from my local Wal-Mart for $.97 each. They look great together! I added a Hello Kitty sticker, fun sticky note, and a pink magnetic clip from Target. This layout is simplicity at its finest.

The WO2P inserts I'm using are by my girl Cathy V. of Paper Addict. You can download them here. I love these pages because they're extra spacious and they have a Sunday start date. They really accommodate my large handwriting plus all of the details I include. And I even have space to decorate!

Project Life: Week 35

Hello again! As I mentioned in my previous post, I was able to knock out two weeks of Project Life in the last couple of days. I'm so happy to be so close to caught-up! And I'm super excited to share another layout with you! Here is my most recent spread....

WEEK 35
Life Documented
August 25 - August 31

Week 35: Full Spread

We absolutely love Summer! And I'm having a blast documenting each and every day of it! This week was pretty chill, but fun nonetheless. I captured some wonderful photos, and a simple and laid back day at the neighborhood park was the highlight of our week! I mixed it up a bit with different types of journal and filler cards, and played around with some extra embellishments.

Week 35: Right Page

Here I'm using a Hobby Lobby pocket page continued from Week 34. I stuffed it with all sorts of cards! I really enjoy playing with different designers, collections, and supplies. Especially when creating handmade cards! I also love pairing cool printables with designer journal cards! The title card is Kraft paper from Amy T's Ready Set Go line. I added a Cameo cut, printable arrow tag, some paper deco tape, and a Daiso brad.

Week 35: Left Page - Close Up

The 4"x 6" journal card is also from Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go line. I used it document a special moment, and added a washi tape flag pointing to the accompanying photo card. That small card was made from my scraps. It holds a wallet-size instagram pic and a potty girl cut on my Cameo. I added a little heart to her chest. That's me! Love my man <3

I needed to fill some space so I raided my stash for a calendar card. This one with the little squirrel is so stinkin' cute! I used an Ali Edwards calendar stamp to mark off the week.

Week 35: Left Page | Close Up

This 4"x 6" card is the reverse side of the Ki Memories paper from last week. I added a 4"x 4" instagram photo, a cutout journal tag from Crate Paper, and a print-and-cut label. I used a Dear Lizzy roller stamp to finish it off.

The 4"x 3" cards are from We R Memory Keepers and Recollections. I added a wallet-size instapic, print-and-cut label, and a Dymo label to the WRMK card. I wrote my daughter's name directly onto the photo using an American Crafts Slick Writer pen.

Week 35: Left Page | A Top Ten Card

I used a fun journal card to fill this spot in the layout. I liked the idea of a Top Ten list to document my "Everyday Delights" from the Summer. I added a star badge [cut with my Cameo] for a little extra embellishment.

Week 35: Right Page

I decided to use the same Hobby Lobby pocket page for this side. I like the way they look together, plus I had a ton of photos to use! This whole page documents our day at the neighborhood playground :) Only one journal card was needed, so I filled the remaining pockets with different types of photographs and cards.

Week 35: Right Page | Close Up

I used a pretty herringbone design by Crate Paper to create a 4"x 6" card. I added some washi tape banners, a print-and-cut camera, and a Dymo label. The smaller pockets have a printable freebie and MAMBI card with another wallet-size instapic. I had some fun with one of my fave PL apps on my Galaxy S3!

I took a wonderful photo of my daughter swinging using the InstaPlace app on Android. [I have the Pro version.] With the help of my phone's GPS, the application is able to apply awesome skins to my photos. So many designs. Perfect for documenting details!

Week 35: Right Page | Close Up

I used this woodgrain paper from Crate Paper, as the base of my "Tire Swing" card. I stacked two wallet-size square photos, captured from different perspectives. Some B&W twine, butterfly cuts, and Doodlebug alphabet stickers complete the card.

Week 35: Right Page | Close Up

I saved one of the large pockets for the photo-of-the-day: a full-size 4"x 6" picture of Kiani and Daddy on the monkey bars. It's my favorite! The last pocket has a printable journal card talking about our day at the local playground. I added a snapshot of the sign and entrance.

The last of the small cards are sweet and simple. A black and white MAMBI card with yellow striped Target brand washi holds the instagram photo of My Loves.  I used a free printable with a funky triangle design as the background for another awesome instagram photo. Yes, it's a smartphone app! This time I used InstaWeather on Android [I have the Pro version] to document the gorgeous day. Again, with your phone's GPS the app is able to add location-based skins and weather information to your photos. I love using it for my Project Life!

Whew... I can't believe I knocked out two layouts in two days! Now I'm only 1 week behind! I think I'll be doing this again for the next two weeks of Project Life... then I'll be all caught up!! Awesome.

I hope you enjoyed my post! I'll be linking up with The Mom Creative again, so be sure to stop by for inspiration. If you would like to see how my album is coming along, you can find it here. Project Life: Week 34

Happy Wednesday! Had a busy couple of days... I was determined to catch up in my Project Life album, so I put all of my other plans and projects aside. Even with the demands of a 4-year-old, I managed to knock out two weeks of Project Life! So be prepared for two times the posts...

WEEK 34
Life Documented
August 18 - August 24

Week 34: Full Spread

Another fabulous week here in the gorgeous Pacific NW! It's because of weeks like this that I love everything about Summer. Family. Fun. Sunshine. It only made sense to use the colors of the rainbow as the inspiration for this spread. From every photograph to each one of the cards... this is my Happy.

Week 34: Left Page

Here I'm using a Becky Higgins Design A pocket page continued from Week 33. I love playing around with journal and filler cards to fill the different pockets. Printables, handmade cards, designer favorites. Mix it up a bit! I made the title card with paper from Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go line. I added some washi tape banners, a colorful carousel horse sticker by TPC Studio, and a ticket I received in a RAK. Added my own numbers for a personal touch.

Week 34: Left Page | Using My Journal Card Freebie

I had the perfect IG snapshot to use on one of my journal cards. [Download my "Happy Cards" freebie here.] Needed some trimming to fit, but it looks great. Love having the space to add some details about the photo too.

Week 34: Left Page - Close Up

The remaining 6"x 4" pockets holds another fun, free printable, and a We R Memory Keepers journal card. I added a 4"x 4" instagram photo, some Basic Grey alphabet stickers, and jotted down some details directly onto the card.

For the row of 3"x 4" slots I destashed more of my printables with a calendar card, currently list, and a "sweet summer" sentiment. I used a MAMBI card with a tag printable to document a shopping haul. A Dymo label, white gel pen, and Amy Tangerine's Rotary Phrase stamp finishes off this page.

Week 34: Right Page

I chose another layout with lots of pockets since I knew I had tons of fun photos to chose from. This is a generic set of pocket pages that I picked up from Hobby Lobby. It gives me more than enough room to showcase the rest of our week. I filled the pockets with a fun mix of colorful cards.

Week 34: Right Page | Close Up

The 4"x 6" pocket has a handmade card from a DCWV paper stack. I added a thin strip of Recollections washi along one side, followed by Heidi Swapp epoxy alphabet stickers and a rub-on, and two wallet-sized instapics. I used a couple of awesome smartphone apps to create the pictures on that card.

When I have too many photos and not enough space, I opt for a photo collage application. My favorite is Photo Grid on Android. I can combine multiple photos using a variety of templates, designs, and details. It also works in conjunction with instagram. Another one of my favorite applications to use for PL photos is Shape'd. It's a fun one to play around with. It gives you the ability to crop your photo into fun shapes, text included. It also works well with instagram.

For the smaller 4"x 3" pockets I used a fabulous filler card printable and another MAMBI card to hold an instapic and print-and-cut label.

Week 34: This Week's Favorite Card

This has to be my favorite card from this week. I combined a too-small printable with a Kraft paper background, added a cute geotag cut with my Cameo, different styles of fun alphabet stickers to mark the location, cutout arrows, another Photo Grid photo, a Dear Lizzy Roller Stamp, and my journaling to tie it all together. I love the way it turned out!

Week 34: Right Page | Another Close Up

The last 4"x 6" pockets holds an awesome full-size photo and a cool handmade card made from Ki Memories paper. I added a 4"x 4" instagram photo of the ferris wheel, another summer embellishment by TPC studio, and a camera cutout from my stash.

The 4"x 3" slots has a new We R Memory Keepers filler card and a handmade card using scraps from my stash. I added another Photo Grid picture, a Cosmo Cricket label sticker, a Dymo label, and some tiny star stickers to complete it.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life post! Stay tuned because I'm not done yet. I'll also be posting Week 35 :) Just trying to catch up!
